Leading with Courage Network (LWCN)
Membership Agreement
Effective June 2022
All Virtual
Member understands that all meetings of LWCN are virtual and not held in a physical meeting space.
Group Meeting Attendance
Member commits to attending a minimum of two out of three Group meetings per rolling three-month period. This is to ensure the success of the Member, his or her Group and Cohort, and the LWCN Community. Member understands that LWCN is so serious about this that if the Member does not attend the minimum number of meetings, his or her membership may be cancelled, with only half of the remaining pro-rated amount being refunded to the Member (or whomever paid their dues).
Member Delegate
When a Member cannot attend a scheduled Group meeting, he/she cannot send a representative in their place.
Guesting
Members may not guest at other Groups.
Professional Standing
Member acknowledges that he/she is not currently facing any disciplinary actions from his/her licensing agency nor has Member had his/her license suspended or revoked.
Non-Disclosure Agreement
Any information disclosed by [or on behalf of] Leading With Courage Networking (LWCN) to the Member [during the Term] OR [at any time before, the termination of this Agreement] (whether disclosed in writing, orally or otherwise) that at the time of disclosure was marked [or described] as “confidential” or should have been understood by the Member (acting reasonably) to be confidential, shall be kept confidential by the Member and not shared with others.
Website and Social Media Release
Member hereby grants permission to LWCN to use Member's name, photos, and contact information for email communications, our website and our social media posts. Member hereby releases LWCN employees, managers, members, officers, parent companies, subsidiaries, and directors, from all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with any use of said items, including, without limitation, all claims for invasion of privacy, infringement of my right of publicity, defamation and any other personal and/or property rights. Member acknowledges and agrees that no sums whatsoever will be due to Member as a result of the use and/or exploitation of the stated items or any rights therein.
No Spamming
“Spamming” is the abuse of electronic messaging systems to indiscriminately send unsolicited bulk messages. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuse in other media, such as but not limited to, instant messaging, Usenet newsgroups, web search engines, spam in blogs, wiki spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, and junk fax transmissions.
Spamming is strictly prohibited by LWCN and will result in the immediate termination of a Member's membership. Spamming may also be illegal under applicable laws and may subject you to civil or criminal penalties.
Term of Membership
Membership begins upon the date of your signed Membership Agreement and runs for a period of 12 months. Your Membership will expire 12 months after the first scheduled meeting date of the Group. Your Membership is fully refundable up until 45 calendar days after the first scheduled meeting date of your Group, provided that the new Member has attended at least one Group meeting and followed the Community's Code of Conduct found in the Members Guidebook,. Please notify us of your desire to cancel. LWCN will process your refund promptly within 30 days. During this time, you will be able to join us at group meetings and other features and benefits specific to your membership level. There are no pro-rata refunds of membership dues after the initial 45 day period.
Renewal
Membership in LWCN is at our discretion and is based upon a number of factors including meeting participation. For example, Members who are not active and engaged will not be invited to renew.
Renewal Time Frame
Members are encouraged to renew their Membership at least 30 days prior to the expiration date. LWCN has the right to replace a Member if their Membership dues are not received by this date.
Arbitration
All disputes arising out of or related to this agreement or the Member’s participation in a Highrise Networks group shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois. The arbitration shall be subject to the Laws of the American Arbitration Association.
Changes
LWCN reserves the right to change policies to benefit our membership community.
